I want to share an impressive customer service experience I witnessed while shopping at the Aldi store on Belleville Rd in Belleville, Michigan on Monday, October 2nd:
Lately the produce has been really bad. If you buy a bag of vegetables, more than likely 60% of it will have to be thrown out as soon as you get home. Other than that, it’s a decent place, but I’m tired of wasting gas and money of bad produce
Super clean, very cheap, and most importantly I can be in and out quickly. Before you come here though, know what this place is. It's all off brand products, you will need a quarter for a cart (which you get back), and bring your own bags or you will have to by them. These are all ways that they use to make everything very low cost. Pretty worth it though.
Great variety of food, competitive prices, great organic foods. Unusual international foods and good kitchen basics. Produce is very good at good prices. A pleasure to shop here, as it's rarely crowded.
Great deals, fresh produce. Long lines that move faster than any self check out. Only gave 3 stars because the produce has been under-stocked lately.
There was an elderly woman in an amigo-style cart that was interested in some shoes they had. An employee was very patiently pulling boxes off the top shelf looking for her size and helping her try them on. It was taking quite a bit of time. Mind you I understand this is not a shoe store, usually there wouldn't be an employee to help you try on shoes. I thought it was amazingly thoughtful of the employee to be willing to help even though this isn't really her job. A line started to form at the checkout so she left the woman and checked out 2 people super fast to help with the line. Then the line was gone and she immediately went back to help the woman. Her efficient service and multi-tasking deserves commendation. I don't know her name but I know from the experience that she will know who she is if it's shared with the staff from that store. She is there almost every time I shop and she is one of my favorite employees and cashiers. I love to be in her line because she is always pleasant.
